U23アジア選手権が新設、３月にモンゴル・ウランバートルで実施へ

昨年のU23世界選手権で団体優勝した女子チーム

　世界レスリング連盟（UWW）は1月18日までに、年間の大会予定として、3月24日（日）～26日（火）にモンゴル・ウランバートルでU23（23歳以下）アジア選手権の開催を追加した。

　U23は、2015年にポーランドで第1回欧州選手権が実施され、翌年以降も実施。2017年にポーランドで世界選手権もスタートし、昨年はルーマニア、今年はハンガリーで予定されている。U23アジア選手権が計画通り実施されれば、欧州以外では初めての大陸選手権となる。

　UWWの規定では、シニア、ジュニア、カデットとも、世界選手権の各スタイルに出場できる選手数は、同年の大陸選手権に出場した選手数までとしている。現在の規定にU23に関する条文はないが、同様の規定が適用されるものと思われる。

GENERAL REGULATIONS FOR CHAMPIONSHIPS・第27条
In order to participate in a (cadet, junior and senior) World Championship, a National Federation must obligatorily participate in the Continental Championship of the same age group, with at least the same number of participants (per style) than the Federation will enter in the World Championship. In other words, a National Federation cannot enter more wrestlers (per style) than the number entered in the Continental Championship of the same age group.
