TOKYO (October 19-20) – Collegiate open champion Yuya Tatsukawa won his second major title of the year, taking the 84kg crown, to lead Nippon Sports Sciences University to the team title at the collegiate greco-roman national championships.
Along with Tatsukawa, who was named the tourney's outstanding wrestler, three other NSSU wrestlers won at their respective weight categories to lead NSSU to its first student greco-roman team title in four years. It was the school's 14th team triumph overall in the meet.
Tatsukawa's NSSU teammate Takaharu Nakamura took the 74kg crown and claim his third title of the season after winning at the junior national championships in April and the collegiate open in August.
Meanwhile, world team representative Takuma Arizono of Yamanashi Gakuin won easily at 96kg, while YGU teammate Shori Kanazawa took the 120 crown with an upset win over national invitational winner Shori Maekawa of Waseda.
At 60kg, Shinya Yano opened with a win over collegiate open winner Takeshi Izumi (NSSU) and went on to win Takushoku University's only individual crown of the tourney.

84kg – Yuya Tatsukawa (NSSU) df. Toshinori Tokuyama (Meiji), 2-0 (3-0, 3-0)
96kg – Takuma Arizono (Yamanashi Gakuin)df. Shun Kinoshita (Taku), 2-0 (1-0, 2-0)
120kg – Shori Kanazawa (YGU) df. Shori Maekawa (Waseda), 2-0 (2-0, 1-0)
