NIHON BUNRI WINS 2ND WEST JAPAN COLLEGE CROWN

SAKAI, Osaka (May 21-22) – Shogo Sasaki notched a fall at 66kg of the final in the West Japan collegiate wrestling spring championships to break a 3-3 tie with Chukyo Gakuin University and give Nihon Bunri University its second overall team title.

Nihon Bunri defeated spring defending champion Ritsumeikan 4-3 in its opening dual and then advanced to the final with another 4-3 win over Fukuoka University.

In the second division, Momoyama Gakuin went undefeated to claim the title and earn promotion to the first division for the autumn championships.
